Helping Uncover Answers
ADHD / Diagnostic Assessment
Have you been looking for answers to your child’s behavior?
If you are asking the following questions:
Does my child have ADHD?
Does my child have oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)?
Does my child have anxiety or OCD?
What type of treatment should my child get? Where do we start?
These are very common questions I hear from parents, and most of them can be addressed with a targeted diagnostic assessment.
About
ADHD/diagnostic assessments offer a “middle ground” option for when more comprehensive evaluation (e.g. administration of IQ, academic, autism diagnostic or neuropsychological tests) may not be needed.
This type of assessment may be a great fit for youth ages 5-18 years old to obtain diagnostic clarification or guidance in treatment recommendations for diagnoses such as:
Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Anxiety/OCD
Depression
Oppositional behaviors
Process
ADHD/diagnostic assessments involve three steps:
90-120 minute diagnostic interview with parent(s) and child
Family completes questionnaires. Provider reviews relevant records (e.g. school report cards), conversation with teachers (when indicated), and consultation with current treatment providers (when indicated), and interprets data
60 minute feedback appointment with parents and provider
The time from the initial appointment to the feedback appointment is typically about 2 weeks.
Cost
For targeted ADHD/diagnostic assessments, the cost is a “flat rate” fee of $780.

Yes. At the conclusion of the assessment, I provide families with a superbill. Families can submit the superbill (which includes the codes, diagnoses, and the cost of the codes) to their insurance.
